Phrase is a set of words which makes sense only when it is used in a sentence. The meaning of a phrase is sometimes totally different from the meanings of the parent word . For example, following phrases have different meanings from it’s parent word Run.
1 Run into something-Experience Difficulties- He has run into debt.
2.Run over someone- To knock a someone and go over him-The train ran over a man who was crossing track.
3.Run out of something- To use up or finish the supply of something-I ran out of cash while shopping.
4.Run something through- To go through something quickly- She ran through the agenda of the meeting and then entered meeting room.
5 Run into Someone- To meet someone by chance- We ran into our old friends in the gathering.
